Here are some advertising ideas I came up with for an HTML email for a graduate IT recruitment website that could also be used in other forms of online advertising, such as banners, MPUs and skyscrapers..
I quite liked the way the image and typography jumps out at you here. The colours look rather dull as I was trying to match his clothes with their corporate colours.
I was quite happy with this idea but it was thought, unfortunately, that no everyone would know what a gravatar is. It’s great when you can do something really simple – like crossing out a word and replacing it with another one – with typography because it’s so eye-catching in an ad.
It’s quite difficult to get a rather dark or night time image to work in the HTML email and online advertising format.
This idea was a little too simplistic but it shows you how simple cartoonish vector drawings can be effective.
