You can also install it with a one-click install on most hosts.
WordPress themes
I recommend you use the Genesis theme framework for $60 and then purchase a child theme for a few more dollars. For example this website is the Magazine Pro theme on Genesis.
Other themes you can try are Thesis and Elegant themes.
Outsourcing
You can get someone to customize a Genesis child theme on oDesk or Elance or get someone to design a logo on 99designs. Read more about outsourcing here where I explain how to choose from the right pool of candidates.
