Illustrations by Rob Cubbon

In my capacity as a designer it is often necessary to produce original high resolution illustrations. These were created for a publishing company, a high street retail outlet and a restaurant.

Hi Rob,
Just a short note to say I’m liking your latest blog design / layout. Much more ‘roomy’ than the last time I visited (which was too long ago).
I hope all’s well with you.
Hi David,
You’re always very welcome!
I have to say that I’ve used your blog as a “yardstick” to compare mine to. I’ll always keep an eye on what you’re up to because there’s a lot for me to learn.
Yes, I like the fact that it’s airy, David
And I like that I can get a 600 px wide image on the page!
I’m just fine, thanks, hope you’re keeping well!
Impressive client portfolio. Let me know if you ever need any help! Likewise, if I am lucky enough to get some big clients, I will be knocking on your door.
Big clients can be great, Pam, but I like working for small clients as well!
Hi, Rob
I’m from Indonesia, It’s pleasure visiting your web page. But by the way is this a blog or your own website address?
Hi Taufiq, thanks for visiting. This my main website which is powered by WordPress the blogging platform but I try to make it not like a blog. I hope that answers your question.
The covers for think tank are very impressive. I liked it the most. However, all worthy of attention. Thank you.
Thank you, Creative Spy, interesting to hear your preference.
Hi Rob,
I like your examples of work and it looks like you have some nice clients under your belt.
Are you in need of a decent print company to make the best of your designs?
If so please drop me a line, be good to hear from you.
cheers and best regards,
Andy
Thank you, Andy, I’m always on the look out for decent print companies. I’ve added you to my list.
Hi, your graphic design works looks very good. You seem to be very talented. I especially like the DJ mixstation 4 box packaging design.
Hello Web Design London,
Thank you for your kind words about my print design.
“The covers for think tank are very impressive. I liked it the most. However, all worthy of attention. Thank you.” Thanks a lot Rob!
Thanks, Biyografist, didn’t someone else just say that?
You have an excellent design compilation here. I will subscribe to you for future contact.

Thank you very much, bebo whiteboard.
Hi Rob,
Love the website! I stumbled across this whilst randomly searching for inspiration and ideas.
I like your style of design, it has a very clean cut and punchy edge to it and your message never gets lost in the visuals (so many go overboard with their designs – yours have perfect balance). I hope to be as good as you in the future as my career is jut starting out (I left a career in Engineering to become a full-time print designer!)
Hi Nathaniel,
Thank you for your encouraging comments and I wish you all the best in your chosen career. I must say that I’m mostly getting web work at the moment although I love doing print jobs. This maybe because of the state of the economy so I would recommend that you keep improving your web skills just as you keep improving your print design skills!
A fine arts graduate, have experience in designing and Publishing Operations.
Could you help me in getting some freelance work in print designing.
Hello Sanjay Malhotra, it’s difficult when you are first starting out. But there are several things you can do to stand out from the crowd. The first thing to do is to start your own website. Follow that link to learn how to do it and then follow the rest of my self-marketing series in order to learn more about web publishing.
Then, of course, you need to exhibit on your site some examples of your work. If you are short of these you should simply make up some design work for yourself and do it or work for free for friends or charities.
