Hit me! And how to make money

I’ve had a good idea for a money-making website (more to follow) and I’ve been getting lots of feedback from my existing site which must mean I’m doing something right.
Maybe it isn’t so difficult to get noticed on the web … A few choice key words, a bit of time setting links, wait a while and, hey presto, you come up on searches.
Question is, how much traffic do you need before you get advertising?
I’ve had 15,000 hits on this site since the beginning of the year - they can’t all be me!
Amazing.. I never thought that it’ll be that much easy.. but yet to try it
